MBA Alumnus Andrés Rubiano participates in Imagine Express in Barcelona-Paris-London

As an innovative top-ranked business school, EADA supports participants and alumni in their professional development both inside and outside of the classroom. With this in mind, since 2012, EADA has collaborated with the Imagine Creativity Center in Silicon Valley, dedicated to helping companies to find meaningful solutions to challenges and empowering talent around the world. This collaboration offers EADA’s current participants and alumni the opportunity to participate in one of several programmes organized annually in Silicon Valley and all over the world.

In February of 2016, 36 “Dreamers” (programme participants) from around the world were chosen to participate in Imagine Express. The 36 Dreamers met each other for the first time on February 19 to embark on an intense 4-day trip to Barcelona-Paris-London. ‏During the 4-day trip, the dreamers formed teams of 3 (one creative mind + 1 developer + 1 business profile) and prepared a great demo of the idea, a business plan and a presentation to pitch in front of investors at the final stop in London.

Imagine Creativity Center programmes use the Lombard method, a radical learning process based on entrepreneurship, structured in 4 phases including mechanisms to integrate inspiring creative visits, key mentors, speaker sessions and workshops.

International MBA alumnus Andrés Rubiano was selected as a Dreamer in the latest edition of Imagine Express. Andrés holds a degree in law and is currently completing his PhD in Buiness Adminstration and Logistics at the Maastricht School of Management. While at EADA, he participated in the exchange programme with National Chengchi University in Taiwan. Today, he is an entrepreneur specialised in international business with extensive experience in logistics, marketing and start-ups. He teaches at the Universidad de Rosario in Bogota, Colombia, and also works as General Manager at Nova Consultores.

After completing the programme, Andrés came to EADA to share his recent experience as a social entrepreneur with the members of the Entrepreneurship & Society Club.
