What is EADA’s ideal candidate for our finance programmes?

The EADA admission process is designed to identify candidates with certain skills and qualities. Applicants are university graduates with management potential between 22 and 27 years old with 0-3 years of work experience.

EADA offers three programmes in the area of finance: the International Master in Finance, International Master in Accounting & Financial Management and Master Internacional en Finanzas – Bilingüe.

Here Jaume Bonet, director of the International Masters in the area of finance, shares his ideas about the most important qualities in an applicant:

Motivation and commitment

An ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are sufficiently motivated to successfully complete the programme. The MiF programme is a very intense programme, and you will be expected to devote around 8-10 hours a day to fulfill your obligations. Much of the work during the programme will be done in teams and you will be required to show your commitment to team-work and team projects. In addition, the ideal candidate will have the ambition of leading and motivating teams.

A problem-solving mind-set

During the programme, participants analyse complex business situations that require the ability to synthesize, conceptualize and think critically. Intellectual curiosity is essential as problem-solving skills are acquired through the desire to learn and effective team-working. When it comes to assessing your academic ability we are assessing where you will finish the programme, not where you start.

A problem-solving mind-set is key when approaching case studies in class discussions.
