The EADA-Residential Training Centre is located 40 km outside of Barcelona, facing the breath-taking Montserrat Natural Park. In the Centre, time and space acquire a different dimension, promoting intense personal skills training and managerial skills development. The Professional Development Programme (PDP) includes four modules, with 1 module every 2 months spread over the whole course, plus a 5-day Business Simulation in collaboration with a partner school in the last trimester for International Master in Management participants. The Programme focuses on teamwork and cultural diversity, communication, negotiation, leadership skills and other practical soft skills development.
The modules in the EADA-Residential Training Centre really highlighted how diverse the International Master in Management class was. The participative discussion format encouraged students to share experiences and learn from each other, building upon joint successes. The campus combines teaching with fun, using many videos, experiential activities, group work and role-plays. Each of these activities are strategically designed to help us sharpen and hone our soft skills, while at the same time nurturing self-esteem, encouraging the effective management of change, and driving us to succeed, which is crucial in today’s fast-paced competitive world.
Feedback shared among students during these modules was very effective in improving our aptitudes and reasoning power, helping establish a general benchmark and identifying areas for individual improvement. I enjoyed the expansive discussions and came away with more confidence in applying the concepts in each module. I have learnt the rationale behind my reactions in my everyday personal and professional life. For me, the key to success was learning to control my mind in times of stress. This knowledge has helped me understand myself, my peers and my teams.
