“Learning-by doing”- the highlight of my experience at EADA

We interviewed International Master in Tourism & Hospitality Management alumnus Isaac Bolinches from the class of 2015 to find out what he is doing now. Isaac was offered a job one week after finishing his exams at EADA, and currently works as Assistant Events Manager at the London Edition Hotel, a new lifestyle luxury hotel that forms part of Marriott International. His international career started in London and soon Isaac will be travelling to Abu Dhabi for the grand opening of The Edition hotel in the city.

  1. How did the International Master in Tourism & Hospitality Management help you?

Taking part in the Master was the right decision to make. All the knowledge that l gained during the year was incredible – working with real business cases on a daily basis and attending classes with professionals from the sector prepared me for my current position.

  1. What are your future career plans?

I joined the Edition brand almost 3 years ago. Edition is growing a lot and has a lot of new openings planned over the next few years including Barcelona, Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Shanghai and Los Angeles. That means many new opportunities for Edition employees, such as myself – I am planning on moving to Abu Dhabi to continue the next phase of my career.

  1. What were the highlights of the Master for you?
  1. What makes EADA’s programme different?

The leadership skills modules at the Residential Training Campus are a life-changing experience. All the knowledge, skills and techniques that you learn help you in both your professional and personal life.

  1. What is the most memorable aspect of your year at EADA?

Definitely the final project! All the hours we spent together as a team working on a real project, putting a whole year of knowledge and skills into practice…it was amazing and intense. Moreover, all the friends I made from all over the world – especially two people that change my life: Miguel Garcia and Txell Larruy.
