Barcelona Mobile World Congress

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the largest gathering of the mobile industry in the world, held annually in Barcelona. This year, the event kicks off on February 26, with industry leaders networking and showcasing ideas over the next four days.

Speakers this year include Christopher Young (CEO of McAfee), Ricardo Antonio Rosselló Nevares (Governor of Puerto Rico), Kathy Calvin (President and CEO of the United Nations Foundation) and Dr Jim Yong Kim (President of the World Bank). Executives from companies including Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, GE and Vodafone will also be presenting at the event.

During Mobile Week Barcelona, EADA’s own Dr Boyd Cohen presented his latest book Post-Capitalist Entrepreneurship: Startups for the 99% on February 21 at the Torre Barrina de l’Hospitalet. The book introduces a new paradigm that unites the intense use of new technologies with a growing social and ecological sensibility.

EADA is pleased to collaborate with the 4YFN, the MWC event connecting start-ups, investors, corporations and public institutions to create and launch new ventures together. As the start-up event of the largest gathering for the mobile industry, 4YFN has been called the number 1 startup event for doing business. 4YFN collaborates with companies like Microsoft and Google to put attendees in contact with inspirational speakers, founders of groundbreaking digital companies, executives, visionaries and leading experts. This year, more than 19,000 attendees will meet up to network with executives from 650 startups, 700 investors and 275 speakers.
