Last week, EADA Careers hosted the annual Finance & Consulting Talent Day, with top companies from both industries in attendance. Industry leaders recognise that as a top-ranked European business school, EADA attracts the best and brightest talent from around the world. EADA Careers brings these leaders on campus for recruiting events throughout the year in the form of industry-specific Talent Days.
This year’s Finance & Consulting Talent Day welcomed Accenture, Bloomberg, Camelot, Christie & Co., Everis, Globalpraxis and PwC. The event was held in the newly remodelled auditorium and agora meeting space of the Barcelona City Centre Campus. More than 120 participants from EADA’s full time programmes attended, including the International MBA, and the International Masters in Accounting & Financial Management, Finance, Marketing, Management, Sustainable Business & Innovation and Tourism & Hospitality Management.
The event included company presentations with information about available professional opportunities and the selection process. Attendees were also able to meet alumni currently working in many of the companies, providing a unique first-hand look into the corporate culture. In preparation for the event, members of the EADA Consulting Club attended a specialised training session including a detailed explanation of the different types of consulting firms, interviewing techniques and potential career paths.
The unique networking opportunities following the presentations were the highlight of the event for many in attendance. “The feedback we received from both the participating companies and students about the format of the event, the presentations and the networking was very positive,” explains Melissa Handley, Director of EADA Careers and Alumni. According to Melissa, the success of the event meant that the majority of attendees expressed an interest in applying for a position in one of the companies after graduation.
The Finance & Consulting Talent Day is the result of the strong long-term relationships that EADA has built with companies over many years and the active participation of EADA alumni, which provide a valuable link between the school and the corporate world.
