More than 70 participants from EADA’s International MBA and International Master programmes attended the Hospitality Management Talent Day on the afternoon of January 30. The Hospitality & Tourism Industry Talent Day is one of many on-campus industry-specific recruitment events that take place every year. The aim of the recruitment event was two-fold: on the one hand, it provided participants with the unique opportunity to network and build meaningful relationships with leading companies in the sector, while at the same time giving these companies access to EADA’s top-class talent.
Companies are attracted to the event by the stand-out talent that a top-tier business school like EADA can provide. The diversity in EADA’s classrooms is a particular draw, as our students represent outstanding profiles from all over the world.
This year, EADA was pleased to welcome Meliá Hotels International, eDreams ODIGEO, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Edition Hotels to EADA’s Barcelona City Centre Campus’ auditorium. The event included company presentations including professional opportunities and selection process advice. Attendees also met alumni working in many of the companies, providing a unique fist-hand look into company culture and management.
James Haigh, director of the International Master in Tourism & Hospitality Management, saw the event as a great way to bring professional opportunities and talent together. “We have great talent at EADA, and we have key players from the industry eager to invest their time and energy to share growth opportunities within their organisations,” he says. “It is the perfect scenario for win-win outcomes.”
Talent Days like this one are the result of the solid and enduring relationship between EADA and leading companies that jump at the opportunity to meet EADA’s talent in a personalised event. This, combined with dedicated EADA alumni, who continue to be engaged and committed to the school long after graduation, make Talent Days the ideal way to see which company is the right fit for students.
Talent Days are combined with on-campus recruitment presentations by individual companies including the Palladium Hotels Group and Iberostar. Presentations are followed by personal interviews with interested candidates.
