What is the Barcelona Health Hub?
The Barcelona Health Hub is a non-profit private organization created to promote innovation in digital health and its transfer to the sector, linking startups, health organizations, companies and investors.
What did you do during the Barcelona Health Hub?
BHHSummit is the annual conference of Barcelona Health Hub, a global and international ecosystem for health transformation. This year, BHH summit was held online, so I attended it through livestreaming at #BHHSummit website.
What was your main take away from the event?
Technology is reshaping the industry. One of the panels focused on how digital tools can help manage a pandemic. Some APPs have been used to help track the virus, carry out tests or help the population access and receive medical care. Also, e-health is rapidly growing especially after the shock of covid-19.
I consider events like BHH summit a great opportunity and unique experience to get closer to the healthcare industry where I want to work after graduation.
What did you enjoy the most about it?
The conference was really well organized with diverse formats like keynote presentations, panel discussions, start-up showcases, virtual booths, etc. As the world’s biggest digital health event, it has attracted 500 attendees and 25 speakers from Spain and abroad to talk about collaboration between healthcare start-ups and corporations. Attendees can be inspired by experts and entrepreneurs, find the industry trend and get to “meet” innovative companies.
Why is it important to attend this kind of events?
As a master student in Pharma & Biotech management, I consider events like BHH summit a great opportunity and unique experience to get closer to the healthcare industry where I want to work after graduation.
