What made you want to represent the Consulting Club at EADA?

I was motivated by my own intrinsic motivation to participate in an extra-curricular activity combined with the desire to have an impact on other, like-minded, students. I would like to apply what I have learned so far, on a personal and professional level, and use the huge diversity of the EADA student body to create an atmosphere in which everyone contributes to the Club.

The Consulting Club offers the valuable opportunity to talk to consultants in different fields and get to know how the industry works and what opportunities it holds.

How does the Consulting Club relate to your career goals?

I am fortunate enough to have gained a little experience in the consulting industry already at Capgemini. But learning more about such a diverse and challenging industry in the Consulting Club would provide opportunities for me to grow and evolve. The Club offers the valuable opportunity to talk to consultants in different fields and get to know how the industry works and what opportunities it holds. It will allow me to find out as much as possible about consulting and to learn which skills to focus on before launching my career after graduation.

What do you think are the most important qualities in a successful consultant?

I believe that the whole package consisting of social and interpersonal skills as well as analytical thinking and problem-solving creativity are the most important qualities. Being able to sell yourself and communicate problems and ideas in a coherent, straightforward way are key factors.

What do you think is the most challenging part of a career in consulting? How do you think the Club will prepare you for this role?

One of the most challenging parts of consulting is the competitive application process. The EADA Consulting Club provides the foundation for the initial steps of the process: preparing your CV and cover letter and learning how to stand out in the interview.

Once you are in a consultancy, the first few years are the most challenging – you need to adopt a mindset to do whatever is necessary to grow out of the “newbie” position by showcasing your talent and strengths. The activities of the Consulting Club help me learn what is expected of new consultants , which is crucial to succeeding.
