Piet Ceuppens is a student from Belgium who is willing to learn as much as he can within the Pharma and Biotechnology sector. He has a biomedical engineering background and he is currently working in a market assessment project – RNA based platform. Piet is developing a business plan to grow the startup company for the upcoming 5 years, from IP growing with the goal of acquisition by Big Pharma.
Although Piet already has a biomedical engineering background, his interests also lie in working with people and working on the management side of the sector.
For it, he decided to apply for EADA‘s new Master in Pharma & Biotech Management.
Why did you choose to take the Master in Pharma & Biotech?
I have a biomedical engineering background in which I learned the scientific side of it all. However, my interest lies in working with people and working on the management side of the sector. Here, I will be able to help shape the future of the industry. Eada is the ideal school for me, since it not only teaches the needed knowledge, EADA also helps with the soft skills needed to become influential within the sector.
What aspects of the programme would you highlight?
Definitely the collbato courses. I have learned more about myself in those small courses than I imagined possible. I really feel these courses will help me in the future workspace. Furthermore, for someone with no business background, EADA helped me to level with the others.
The methodology and professors have helped me understand the industry dynamics, and how companies within other sectors make choices and influence each other.
What do you think of the methodology in class and the professors?
The professors really are experts in their fields. I have acquired knowledge which not only helps me to understand the industry dynamics, but also how companies within other sectors make choices and influence each other. The methodology in class is really demanding, however, with this methodology I find it easier to acquire knowledge and can immediately implement it in other situations.
How is the master preparing you for your professional career/career goals?
For me EADA and especially this master was the ideal step in helping me become influential within the sector. Eada and all its additional support really gave me the tools needed and how to use these tools successfully, an all in one package.
