Feroz Singh Garewal is a student from India who is currently finishing the Master in Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Management here in EADA and has been recently admitted to our International Master in Finance.
Representing India at the 17th Asian Games, several World Championships and 2nd Summer Youth Olympics at the age of 17, Feroz takes great pride in his achievements and individualism. With an aspiration to channelise his business instincts, he interned at a Pharmaceutical unit and worked at Gary Pharmaceuticals private limited as a sales and marketing manager.
Why did you choose to take the Master in Pharma & Biotech at EADA?
The Master in Pharma and Biotech program at EADA offers core courses such as Drug Development, Health Economics, Regulatory affairs, Finance and Market Access that give a holistic view of the business environment in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological industries.
Having previously worked in the Pharmaceutical sector, this Master’s degree at a prestigious university like EADA not only matched with my objectives but also felt like a necessary step to elevate my career. Talking to EADA’s alumni only raised my confidence in the school and made my decision easier.
The experience at the Residential Training Center Collbató assisted me in developing leadership skills and understanding my strengths and weaknesses.
What do you think of the methodology in class and the professors?
The case study methodology was something I looked forward to while starting my journey at EADA. I believe it is the best way to understand how to deal with situations and problems at different stages of your career. The combination of theory and real-life examples in the case directly put me in the shoes of a manager and made me understand the responsibility of my decisions. The professors not only have an exceptional academic background but also years of experience in the industry. Moreover, the small class size gave me the opportunity to have an enriching experience and relationship with my professors.
What aspects of the programme would you highlight?
The program is structured in a way that made me understand the business aspect of the life cycle of a drug, from its discovery to getting it into the market. The final project gave me the opportunity to implement these skills as junior consultant for a start-up.
The experience at the Collbató Residential Training Campus is like the cherry on top of this amazing programme. The modules in the Campus helped me develop my leadership skills and understand my strengths and weaknesses.
I feel more confident and ready to enter the industry as I can easily implement all skills and knowledge I gained from this master.
How is the master preparing you for your professional career/career goals?
This program has prepared me to enter any sector of the pharmaceutical industry, be it operations, marketing or regulatory affairs.
