Prakhar Kamal’s experience after EADA

Prakhar Kamal, alumnus from our International Master in Marketing class of 2018. Since he graduated from his master programme, he has had the opportunity to work in multiple companies, both in Barcelona and in India, where he is from. In this post he  tells us a little bit about his career journey and how the master at EADA has helped him.

What has your career journey been like since you graduated from EADA?

The career journey post EADA has taken me to far off places that I had not imagined and I am eternally grateful to EADA for that. After finishing with the masters, I got the opportunity to work as a Customer Success Manager for the Spanish market( Pro tip: Use your time in Barcelona to learn the language, it helps!). Now I have moved closer to my goal of marketing and I work for a major social media site interacting with Marketers on a day to day basis and advising them how to be much more effective.

I definitely would like to give a huge shout out to the Alumni network

Have EADA Careers Services or Alumni network helped you during the job search?

The EADA Career service has been phenomenal at every step of the job search in connecting with the right stakeholders across multiple organizations and also guiding me through the interview process and how to be much more effective in the interview process

I definitely would like to give a huge shout out to the Alumni network as those connections have been very valuable in learning about different organisations and the hiring process in those.

What have you learnt from your International Master in Marketing that you can apply on your daily basis?

There are a lot of things and frameworks that I use daily. But something that has stuck with me is the 5C analysis. I find it extremely useful while making decisions as it helps me understand what my recommendation should be.

Which Strategic Specialization did you decide to do in your Master's? How has it helped you in your career journey?

I did Specialization in Creativity and Innovation with focus on Brands, Products and Communication.

As I work a lot with Brands, this course helped me have a lot of focus on understanding how Brands decide their portfolios and how to measure and maintain Brand voice.

How would you define your experience during the master?

This is a once in a lifetime experience. The master’s course prepared me well for coming back to the professional world. It has not just helped me professionally but also personally as well.
