PERSONAL INSPIRATION WEEK 2022

During the second week of February, students from the International Master in Management had the opportunity to participate in the Personal Inspiration Week (PIW). A week about accelerating participants’ professional and personal growth.

During the first trimester of the Master’s, students have learned a lot about business, careers and themselves. During the Personal Inspiration Week they have the opportunity to learn from inspiring experts and alumni that lead them to refine and clarify their professional and life goals, and what they need to do to achieve them.‘

- Antony Poole, International Master in Management Director.

During the Personal Inspiration Week our participants could attend three different courses that gave them different points of view about their personal and professional life. The three courses were:

1. The Human Leader in a Digital Age

Class given by Raquel Rubio Higueras, EADA alumni from the Master in Human Resources Direction class 2003. Right now she owns her own company, Mind Gym, and helps companies and executives to understand themselves better to perform better.

The Human Leader in a Digital Age course was focused on giving useful tools to the students that helped them understand where they are today in their career and life pathway and purpose, gain confidence in themselves to know what their values are and what makes them unique, and learn how to connect with others to create successful relationships and achieve their desired goals

2. Leadership Skills to Succeed in life

Graduating students need to know how to differentiate and to engage people to succeed in the global marketplace and talent pool in the corporate world.

With the Leadership Skills to Succeed in Life course, Philip Herz, EADA alumnus from the International Master in Management class 2012, aimed to give them the tools to build a bridge between their EADA experience and the real corporate world. Showing them how understanding and packaging the concepts of personal development, leadership, business development,  personal branding, public speaking and personal finances can have a major impact on their professional and personal success.

It is super important as future leaders to have these leadership skills. In order to lead our organizations in the future, to interact with people, understand their needs, their wants and how they want us to behave towards them and so that we achieve good results for our future organizations"

José Almeida, International Master in Management student 2021-2022

3. Business + Career - Walking Mentorship:

Joao Perre Viana, EADA alumnus from the MBA class 2003, founder and creator of the Walking Mentorship. Combination of walking in nature and group mentoring. To the Personal Inspiration Week, Joao prepared an experience to help the students revise their personal and professional challenges, with an innovative methodology to help them slow down, reconnect, gain perspective and take action.

Life moves pretty fast and sometimes you need to stop and think about what you are going to do in the future”

Frederico Meneses, International Master in Management 2021-2022 student.
