One week every year, EADA International master’s students have the opportunity to focus on one of the three main pillars of EADA’s mission: sustainability.
Businesses are increasingly recognizing the importance of putting sustainability and social responsibility at the forefront of their strategies as a response to the global sustainability crisis. Because of the importance of sustainability in business practices, EADA has prioritized practical learning in this realm. To address this major issue, EADA Business School held once again its Sustainability Week from April 24th to 28th. The event was aimed at providing actionable insights and solutions for today’s sustainability revolution, covering topics such as new consumer habits, reinventing products with fewer carbon emissions, rethinking operations, and new partnerships.
Sustainability Week is an opportunity for EADA masters students to participate in topics outside of their curriculum to explore various environmental and social issues. This year, participants could choose from seven different courses the topic that best aligned with their personal interests and career goals. Internal faculty as well as visiting academic and corporate professionals directed these courses and provided valuable insights to participants. During the week, participants from EADA’s International Master’s programmes divided into ESG criteria from two points of view: activist shareholders and ESG investing (sustainable finance).
The courses provided this year were the topics of:
The effect of corporate innovative entrepreneurship on sustainability businesses
Managing humanitarian emergencies
Activist shareholders and ESG agendas, the controversial dilemma for leading consumer companies
ESG investing: people, power, profit
The bioeconomy: a leverage point for system change
Sustainable fashion: challenges, strategies and future scenarios
Scenarios for sustainability
All perspectives are welcomed and encouraged, making sustainability week a collaborative and hands-on learning experience. Sustainability Week is not only about learning responsible business practices, but also how to work with others to create sustainable solutions.
Sustainability Week provides participants with the knowledge of sustainable solutions from a variety of environmental and social issues. Participants are pushed outside of their comfort zones and are exposed to many management and leadership skills such as accountability, adaption, integrative leadership, teamwork, strategic planning strategies, and much more.
“I thoroughly enjoyed attending the ESG session during Sustainability Week. It was a new and eye-opening experience for me. The discussions held and the valuable information shared throughout the session was incredibly insightful. The final presentation encapsulated the essence of sustainability and its importance in today's world.”

In conclusion, Sustainability Week is a cornerstone of the EADA International Masters programmes, providing a platform for students to engage with pressing environmental and social issues. Through a carefully curated selection of courses, participants expand their knowledge, develop crucial management and leadership skills, and collaborate with a diverse range of professionals and peers.
