Consulting firms are becoming more and more aware of the value of sustainable practices. For this, EADA offers its students the possibility of incorporating sustainability ideas into their projects with the necessary knowledge and resources. Students gain knowledge of this important matter, the factors that surround it and how to apply them into consulting work through courses and activities that are centered on sustainable business practices.

This holistic strategy allows EADA students to contribute to the creative transformation of businesses and is in line with the expanding significance of sustainability in the business world.

EADA’s curriculum is centered around practical learning methodology. Each programme has specific challenges, events, and projects that allow students to real world scenarios, and work with professionals that specialize in their respective fields. 

David Rausell told us that teamwork and communication are crucial for success (besides a good personal organization), and in that sense, EADA’s methodology, making you work in teams with projects deliverables of different duration since the first day of the program, has resulted to him to be immensely useful for the adaptation to demanding environment of consulting firms. He also expressed that the same happened with presentations, the emphasis of EADA on delivering projects in the form of presentations, makes you acquire a sense of attention to details and professionalism really appreciated in consulting. 

EADA also emphasizes networking opportunities, and partners with many leading firms to allow students to jump into the world of consulting. On that note, Florian Arnolds (International Master in Management 2014 – 2015 and Manager at Accenture) shared with us that several companies came to EADA in 2015 and presented their businesses, among those was Accenture, where he still is. In the workshop they did back then they gave them a good idea of what to expect in the assessment center and even a helpful little book with an overview of models and cases. This book and a second one regarding popular assessment center cases and processes helped him massively when preparing for his job interviews. So with that being said, his best advice – besides coming prepared with a bit of knowledge about models and the real everyday world – is to be yourself at the interview. He emphasized that recruiters can easily detect excessive use of buzzwords.  While these tactics may yield temporary benefits, if one lacks genuine competence, failure is inevitable. According to him, this was one of the key lessons he learned from his experiences at EADA, particularly through group work and presentations. He believes that this understanding greatly contributed to his eventual job placement.  

Last but not least, EADA offers many extracurricular activities like the Consulting Club. This club happens to be one of the most popular clubs on campus and is jointly coordinated by EADA Careers and EADA Community and it aims to facilitate the transition into consulting, organizing  a wide range of activities to educate participants about the types of consultants, provide networking opportunities within the industry and prepare students for the selection process.
