In fact, the most important qualities that influence whether individuals and organizations can achieve their goals are soft skills. These attributes have become indispensable in fostering effective communication and collaboration to thrive in the business world. To respect its commitment to training students, EADA Business School provides a wide range of innovative programs and experiences to help students develop the professional skills that are necessary for success.
Besides in-class practical work, students also focus on group work that is done outside their class timetables, within their stable groups. For the majority of subjects, each group has to present an analysis made on a real company of their choice, requiring them to apply the theoretical frameworks learned in class. By engaging students in this type of group work, teachers are offering an opportunity for growth and development. Not only will students be able to translate theoretical knowledge into practical examples within the business context, but also learn to leverage each team member’s strengths, share responsibilities and communicate clearly. These soft skills are essential in most jobs, where teamwork is often key for success.
EADA also offers the Leadership Development Program, which consists of four, two-day training modules that take place in the Residential Training campus in Collbató. During training, students are asked to focus on EADA’s main philosophy: to lead others, we must first develop the ability to influence and manage ourselves. The program consists of both indoor and outdoor activities that focus on personal growth. First, students are challenged to improve their communication skills, to define their goals for the future and strategize on how to achieve them. With the help of EADA´s accepting community, students develop a deeper awareness of their own strengths to understand their personal potential, inner motivations and core values. On the second day, they are invited to participate in outdoor activities that are focused on conquering fears and teamwork. Students develop trust in each other to reach their objectives.

Catarina is 22 years old and comes from Porto, Portugal. She did her bachelor’s degree in management at Católica Porto Business School, and then spent one year working in EY as an audit assistant.
