I started my much-awaited EADA journey in October 2023. It was a big change, not only returning to the academic world after a long hiatus but also moving my whole seven years of life from Dubai to Barcelona.
My objective of studying at an international university was for the sole reason that it opens doors to a vast network of contacts around the world. Attending an international university can be challenging at first, intimidating even. It is not just about pursuing higher education; it’s also a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a rich tapestry of cultures, languages, and traditions.
Personally, I feel that one of the most rewarding aspects of studying at EADA is the vibrant social life that comes with a diverse student structure. From multicultural events to cross-cultural friendships, EADA has provided me with an environment that fosters personal growth, global understanding, and connections I know I will cherish my whole life.
Ever since starting my journey at EADA, I have found a support system and new friends through various sources. A prominent example was International Food Day, a cultural exchange event that celebrated the diverse backgrounds of the student population. The event provided a platform for students to share and experience the richness of global cultures.
EADA has many dedicated student organizations specifically designed to support the needs and interests of international students. The Student club, consulting, sustainability, finance, and entrepreneurship clubs often organize social events and workshops, creating a sense of community among students from different corners of the world. Participating in these clubs has expanded my network and provided me with a valuable support network for navigating the challenges of studying in a foreign country.
Perhaps the most valuable aspect of the social life at EADA is the opportunity to form meaningful, cross-cultural friendships. Interacting with peers from diverse backgrounds broadens your perspective, challenges preconceptions, and enriches your understanding of the world. Whether it’s through group projects, study sessions, or casual gatherings, the friendships formed at EADA transcend cultural differences.
Attending EADA is not just an academic journey; it’s a transformative experience that extends into every aspect of your life, particularly your social interactions. The vibrant social life is a testament to the power of diversity, fostering a sense of global citizenship and interconnectedness. As students at EADA engage in cultural exchange events, join international organizations, and build cross-cultural friendships, they contribute to a dynamic and enriching community that prepares them for a globally interconnected future.
