Why did you decide to pursue an International Master in Management at EADA Business School?
My reason for pursing the Master in Management at EADA is deeply rooted in the program’s holistic structure and curriculum. The emphasis on a well-rounded approach to management education aligns perfectly with my belief that success in business requires a comprehensive understanding of various disciplines.
Share insights into how your career path was influenced by EADA and the journey that led you to your current position.
Apart from the course and curriculum, EADA taught me so much about myself: my ambitions, getting out of one’s comfort zone and being open to learning from each experience. The research & case methodology helped me a lot during my consulting & research tenure, where I worked with startups globally. Even today, my learnings give me so much structure when I am trying to do some extensive product R&D or conduct market research activities. EADA has helped me shape my knowledge to a much broader extent.
How did EADA help influence your decision to become an entrepreneur? Did anyone in particular inspire you?
My passion for what I do and my family have been the key drivers behind pursuing entrepreneurship. I had personally never dreamt of being one since it’s not so easy. You need to break a lot of barriers, show yourself out there and do the best in the industry. Today, when I reflect back on my journey, each part of my professional journey has helped me to start this. Mr Manuel, Mr. Jaume, and Mr. Bart have all been mentors for my business plan, and I am blessed to have this support!
Can you highlight specific aspects of your education at EADA Business School that have shaped the strategy and growth of Brewing Notes Coffee?
Well, as cliché as our tagline has put it, EADA does prepare you for most job roles, even as a business owner. It has set a structure for me to know a bit of everything: business strategy, finance, geopolitics, marketing, and the most important – personal branding. We often underestimate soft skills when it comes to work, but that is the base of it. You define your brand by your personal identity until it grows into a multi-national brand, so be very sure to adapt these skills in the right manner.
How does your international perspective from EADA Business School influence how you approach global aspects in the coffee business?
Prior to joining EADA, I had the opportunity to collaborate with international clients, but it’s been the experience of studying in a classroom with 27 different nationalities, all incredibly friendly and supportive, that has truly shaped my global mindset and intercultural competence. This diverse environment has significantly enhanced my comfort and confidence in engaging with individuals from any corner of the world. In today’s interconnected business landscape, where cultural nuances heavily influence professional interactions, the ability to navigate and communicate effectively across diverse cultural boundaries is invaluable. Witnessing seasoned professionals struggle with cultural differences has solidified my appreciation for the skills I’ve acquired at EADA, empowering me to approach global meetings with ease and adaptability.
In terms of networking, how have connections from EADA Business School and beyond played a role in shaping your career and contributing to the success of Brewing Notes Coffee?
Attending EADA events and seminars has immensely helped me break free from this inhibiting mindset. Through these events, I have had the opportunity to interact with industry experts and professionals who have graciously shared their insights and experiences.
What sets EADA apart is the exceptional accessibility of our professors. They are not only knowledgeable and experienced but also approachable and supportive. It is truly remarkable that even after the completion of the courses, we remain in touch with our professors, seeking their guidance and assistance whenever needed.
Do you have any future plans you would like to talk about?
While achieving my professional gains, I would love to give it back to EADA. I want to be a mentor to the entrepreneurship center or help students in any possible domain of my expertise to encourage more students to do what feels right to them.
For individuals aspiring to become entrepreneurs, what general advice would you offer based on your experiences in founding Brewing Notes Coffee and your broader education at EADA Business School?
Welcome new experiences and change with grace. Discuss your plans with the facilities available in the school and they will help you build a structure and a pathway. Expand your network of individuals to include friends/mentors/ professors and clients. Have a friendly relationship with whoever you meet, because at some point in life they can help you and vice versa. My professors linked me to entrepreneurs who I can collaborate with as a brand. I would say, keep your mind open and keep learning!
Overall, my experience at EADA has not only bolstered my confidence in engaging with professionals but has also provided me with an invaluable network of friends and mentors. I am grateful for the opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute within this nurturing academic environment.
