Studying Away with EADA
Studying at an international business school opens doors to many opportunities including exposure to the wider world, connection to people from diverse backgrounds, and first-hand student engagement.
International Business Immersion (IBI) trips, provided by EADA, offer numerous benefits for students, educators, and institutions. A variety of city options such as Milan, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, and Singapore are offered to students. The trips include visits to companies, organizations, and industry specific events to provide a range of educational and development advantages to participants.
After a successful two trimesters in the new city of Barcelona, EADA provided students with an opportunity to explore another country in the form of an International Business Immersion trip in late March.
The IBI is a unique opportunity for the students of EADA Business School and an essential part of the Academic Programme. It is Cross-programme and Cross disciplinary meaning there are visits and talks with professionals from different fields involved in the process. This is a fruitful chance to learn first-hand from executives of leading companies and to create a shared experience where you will build meaningful connections and strengthen relationships with other Master programmes participants. Overall, it is a fantastic opportunity to visit a European city and become immersed in a renowned Business Hub.
I thought the experience of the IBI trip was very enriching as we were able to dive into the minds of sustainability leaders and other types of leaders in various industries and also connect with them to enrich our careers”
Joao Valera Ramos, Master of Sustainable Business and Innovation for Barcelona IBI
The Amsterdam Experience
Out of the three choices of Barcelona, Amsterdam, and Milan provided to the Master programmes this year, I chose Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The Amsterdam journey began at a coworking space Startup Village. This is a community of startups and network partners with a focus on AI and Quantum where we learned about Startup Village and two companies under community: Virtual. ai and Anywyse.
Virtual.ai is a task delegation platform that connects businesses to outsourced virtual teams and AI assistants. Anywyse helps simplify your content creation process with our generative AI, making it effortless to transform your written content into audio learning modules.
The second day was followed by a visit to The Social Hub Amsterdam City: a hotel where travelers, locals, and students get together to learn, stay, work, and play. During our day at The Social Hub, we were addressed by two more businesses: Homed-iq and The Water Transformers. Homed-iq is a unique initiative that has created a self-testing kit which helps its users track their health from home. The Waste Transformers is an innovative solution to food waste management that turns commercial food waste into valuable resources right on site.
The final visit of the eventful day was the well-known Heineken Factory.
The third and last day was spent at the famous Tony’s Chocolonely Factory: a revolutionary chocolate company in the European market with a mission to eradicate slavery from the chocolate industry.
To conclude the trip, EADA organized a city boat tour to experience the charming beauty of Amsterdam’s canals.
The IBI trip was very nice to build networking with professionals from diverse companies and to also understand the different approaches towards sustainability.”
Joane Cunha, Masters of Sustainable Business and Innovation for Barcelona IBI
Overall, EADA’s school business trip provided an invaluable education and professional benefit, fostering a deeper understanding of the business world, enhancing our career readiness and supporting personal and professional growth. It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience for me and my colleagues.
