Stepping into EADA Business School in the heart of Barcelona was not just the beginning of a Master’s programme—it marked the start of a transformative journey. The transition from my hometown of Patna, Bihar, to Bengaluru had already exposed me to diverse cultures within India. However, moving to Barcelona elevated this experience to an entirely new level. With its eclectic food scene, lively festivals and diverse communities, the city is a vibrant blend of cultures. EADA’s International Master in Finance programme brought together students from across the globe, each with unique backgrounds and perspectives.
At EADA, learning goes beyond textbooks and lectures. The school’s methodology, deeply rooted in case studies and experiential learning, ensures that students are active participants in their education. From day one, we were immersed in real-world scenarios requiring critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making—essential skills in the fast-paced world of finance.
One of the most rewarding aspects of studying at EADA has been engaging with peers from various countries, cultures, and belief systems. These diverse perspectives have enriched classroom discussions, enabling us to approach problems from multiple angles and better understand various contexts.
The “learning by doing” approach constantly challenged us to apply theoretical concepts to practical situations. This method solidified our understanding while preparing us to tackle real-world business challenges with confidence. Frequent group projects and presentations fostered a collaborative spirit, helping us build strong relationships with our peers.
A highlight of our Master’s journey was the International Immersion week at Skema Business School in Paris.

This week-long experience not only expanded our knowledge but also provided invaluable insights into sustainable finance. You can read more about our trip and the key developments in sustainable finance in my detailed blog article here.
EADA’s distinguished faculty played a pivotal role in shaping our academic experience. Each professor brought a wealth of industry knowledge, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Jaume Bonet, along with other esteemed professors, provided continuous support, guidance, and challenge, helping us reach our full potential.
The school’s state-of-the-art infrastructure further enriched our learning. Modern, well-equipped classrooms and small class sizes fostered an environment conducive to active participation and meaningful discussions. Additionally, access to comprehensive databases and advanced research tools was crucial for both academic and professional development.
EADA’s Residential Training campus in Collbató, located just outside Barcelona, offered a unique setting for our Leadership Development Programme (LDP). This serene environment was perfect for fostering both personal and professional growth. The LDP, consisting of four modules, focused on building soft skills through dynamic outdoor training, team-building exercises, and leadership workshops. These activities—ranging from role-playing to interactive games—allowed us to develop essential leadership qualities in a tranquil yet stimulating atmosphere.
Studying in Barcelona was an unforgettable experience. The city’s fusion of history, culture, and modernity provided an inspiring backdrop for our academic journey. From the awe-inspiring architecture of Antoni Gaudí to the bustling streets of La Rambla, Barcelona never failed to captivate us. The Mediterranean climate, with sunny days and mild winters, made exploring the city a delight.
Beyond its urban appeal, Barcelona’s lifestyle offered a perfect balance between work and leisure. Weekends were often spent relaxing on the beach, hiking in nearby Montserrat, or strolling through the historic Gothic Quarter. The city’s vibrant culinary scene, with its tapas bars and world-class restaurants, was a gastronomic adventure.
Exploring the wider Catalonia region added another layer to the experience. A short trip to Girona or the stunning Costa Brava offered a refreshing escape from the city’s hustle, allowing us to fully appreciate the region’s natural beauty.
As I move forward in my professional journey, the knowledge and experiences gained at EADA will continue to influence and inspire me. The connections I’ve built and the skills I’ve honed are invaluable, equipping me to face new challenges with confidence. I look forward to exploring the exciting opportunities ahead and staying connected with the EADA community as we continue to grow and innovate together.
Thank you, EADA, for an incredible journey and for preparing me for the bright future ahead!
